LAWAL ABUBAKAR

Abubakar is the Co-founder and Group Managing Director of GTI Group; an Investment Banking firm, with specialities in Public Sector/Corporate Advisory, Restructuring and Finance. Pioneered the delivery of the first Private Trading Floor in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has over the last three decades contributed immensely to the growth and development of investment banking in Nigeria. The group under his leadership led various landmark transactions, some of which involved Corporate Restructuring and Recapitalization for publicly quoted companies like International Breweries (IB) Plc, Eterna Plc, Wema Bank Plc., Morison Industries Plc and “States / Sub National Accounts” among others. An alumnus of Harvard Business School, he has a strong financing background, built on international relationships with a local perspective. He is value-focused and quick to see diamonds in the rough. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria (CIS), he serves on the board of Wema Bank Plc and National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Plc. He is a retired Director of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and was a council member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria(CIS).

Teslim Shitta-Bey Holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Statistics (University of Benin) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos and a post graduate certificate in Financial Journalism. He is currently Managing Consultant of Grant Alsthom Consulting Limited (Financial and Management Consultants). He has, in the last three decades, accumulated rich and varied experiences as a stock market/Investment analyst, Commercial and Investment banker. He has brought to Grant Alsthom his robust Investment Banking experience as well as a widely known flair for financial modelling and business forecasting. Shitta-Bey is an avid Financial Modeller and is a regular collaborator with the global financial modelling community. He is a modelling follower of Professor Simon Benninga, and is mentioned in Beninga’s book, ’Principles of Finance with Excel’.

OGECHI ESIMAI

Ogechi has over a decade experience in Life Skills, Service Culture, Team Coordination and Youth Coaching. She also has over eight years’ experience in HR, People Development, Training coordination, facilitation and organization. Ogechi’s career goal is to employ creativity and positive influence in approaching complex tasks and optimizing self-development opportunities in order to equip teams and protégés with requisite personal skills. Ogechi is skilled in Service Excellence and Culture Orientation, Life Skills and Youth Coaching, Career development, Creative Learning (Word and Lifeskills) Training Plan Execution, Public speaking and Volunteering. Ogechi holds a B.sc in Government and Public Administration and also a Masters degree from the University of Lagos in Public and International Affairs. She has been an Ambassador of and has received several awards of excellence from the Lagos Eko/World Bank project which is focused on improving learning and life outcomes in Public Secondary schools.
